  5. █ The EtherDisk diskette provides you with the necessary software, utilities, █
  6. █ and documentation to use 3Com's EtherLink II family of adapters with the    █
  7. █ most popular network operating systems (NOS's).  The diskette also includes █
  8. █ the diagnostic program, user information, and batch files for updating      █
  9. █ drivers.  The adapter guide that comes packaged with the adapter gives      █
  10. █ important information on adapter installation and use and should be used in █
  11. █ conjunction with the EtherDisk diskette.                                    █

  13. █ Unless otherwise indicated, the term "EtherLink II adapter" refers          █
  14. █ to the EtherLink II (3C503), the EtherLink II TP (3C503-TP), the EtherLink  █
  15. █ II/16 (3C503-16) and the EtherLink II/16 TP (3C503-16-TP) adapters.         █

  17. █ Before you install the network drivers make sure that:                      █
  18. █       -  the adapter is installed in the computer                           █
  19. █    -  the diagnostic program has been run (contained on the EtherDisk    █
  20. █       diskette)                                                          █
  21. █    -  the computer is connected to the network                  █
  22. █                                          █
  23. █ Select the Diagnostic Program and Miscellaneous Information options in      █
  24. █ the main menu before installing the appropriate drivers.                    █
