- Title: AST Advantage! Reliability at 8MHz
-
- It has been found that the AST Advantage! memory cards can
- encounter memory errors when running in machines with the clock
- speed set at 8MHz. The makers of the AST Advantage card
- acknowledge that some of their cards do have problems running at
- 8MHz. We recommend that you contact AST if your cards have this
- problem.
-
- NOTE
-
- Because of the complex nature of compatibility in products
- designed for the IBM PC family, untested conditions of
- incompatibility are occasionally discovered.
-
- To reduce risks involving the use of products that seem to
- be compatible with the IBM PC family standard, we
- recommend the following:
-
- 1.Contact all the manufacturers of the products
- you plan to use to determine any known
- problems associated with the use of the
- equipment.
-
- 2.Back up your system regularly to prevent the
- loss of valuable data.
