  34.    INSTALLATION
  35.  
  36.    Registered User Disk
  37.    
  38.    When you register your copy of CodePrint you will receive the latest
  39.    version of CodePrint on disk.
  40.    
  41.    1) Place the CodePrint disk in your floppy drive.
  42.    2) Start Windows if required.
  43.    3) Open the Windows Program Manager and select RUN from the File menu.
  44.    4) Type either a:setup or b:setup (depending on which drive you are
  45.       installing from). Click OK.
  46.    5) Answer the questions when prompted by the installation program.
  47.    6) A CodePrint group will automatically be created.

  49.    Downloaded from a BBS or Received from Disk Vendor
  50.  
  51.    Unzip or copy all the files to the ROOT directory of a floppy disk.
  52.    Then follow the instructions above to install the program.

  54.    If you are an experienced user, you can copy the files listed above
  55.    to a subdirectory on your hard disk. You can then optionally create
  56.    a program group.

  59.    OVERVIEW
  60.  
  61.    CodePrint is a Windows 3.1 program used for printing ASCII text files
  62.    on any printer supported by Windows. You can easily select one or more
  63.    files to print with control over how the text is formatted on the
  64.    page. You can open and save configurations that allow you to set page
  65.    formatting for the various text files that you normally print. For
  66.    example, if you are a programmer you can save a configuration for
  67.    printing your source code two-up on a page. To save on the amount of
  68.    paper used, CodePrint has a duplex printing option that allows
  69.    printing on both sides of the paper. CodePrint features include:
  70.  
  71.       * Portrait or landscape paper orientation
  72.       * Multiple columns
  73.       * Headers and footers that you define including filename, date
  74.         and page number
  75.       * Change font, style and size
  76.       * Include border and column dividers
  77.       * Change left, top, right and bottom margins
  78.       * Change number of spaces used to expand tabs
  79.       * Automatic wrapping of text wider than column
  80.       * Option to truncate lines at the right margin
  81.       * Option to include line numbers
  82.       * Open and save page configurations
  83.       * Compatible with Windows 3.1 Drag-and-Drop feature
  84.       * Duplex printing option - print on both sides of the paper

  86.    CodePrint is NOT compatible with Windows 3.0 or earlier versions.

  89.    KNOWN PROBLEMS
  90.  
  91.    The following are reported and known problems. In some cases these
  92.    problems may be hardware and/or configuration dependent and may not be
  93.    a problem in all cases. If any apply you should try using CodePrint
  94.    and report any problems you might have.
  95.  
  96.    1) There have been problems reported by some users with an HP Deskjet+
  97.    and Laserjet III printer installed. The following specific problems
  98.    have been reported.

  100.       * Floating point error, CodePrint v1.15 with Deskjet+
  101.       * Prints file multiple times using Drag-and-Drop feature,
  102.         CodePrint v1.13, Laserjet IIP and III 
  103.  
  104.    Please note that the problems reported with the HP Laserjet are
  105.    isolated. The program has been tested with a Laserjet III with no
  106.    problems. If you are having a problem please let us know.

  109.    FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS
  110.  
  111.    The following enhancement(s) are planned for the version 2.00 release
  112.    due 1Q93.

  114.       * Duplex printing option (print on both sides of paper)

  117.    have features you want added to CodePrint.

  120.    SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTION OF CodePrint
  121.  
  122.    You are granted permission to use the shareware version of CodePrint
  123.    for evaluation for a period of 21 days. You can make copies of the
  124.    shareware version and distribute them to anyone as long as all the
  125.    original unmodified files, as listed above, remain together. You are
  126.    prohibited from charging, or requesting donations for any such
  127.    copies. If you are a disk vendor, you should read the file VENDORS.TXT
  128.    for additional information.

  130.    Unregistered use of CodePrint pass the 21-day evaluation period is in
  131.    violation of Federal Copyright Laws.
  132.  
  133.    CodePrint is not free. This license allows you to use CodePrint for
  134.    evaluation purposes, without charge, for a period of 21 days. If you
  135.    use this software after the 21 day evaluation period a registration
  136.    fee of $20 is required (foreign orders require $5 shipping and
  137.    handling). Payments must be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank, and
  138.    should be sent to Micro Software Solutions, PO Box 851504, Richardson,
  139.    TX 75085-1504. Please use the registration/order form REGORDER.FRM.
  140.    After payment is received you will be sent a registered copy of the
  141.    latest version of CodePrint on disk.

  147.    is copyrighted software. You are not obtaining title to the software or
  148.    any copyrights. You may not sublicense, rent, lease, convey, modify,

  153.    purposes. You may use this software on more than one computer, provided
  154.    there is no chance it will be used simultaneously on more than one
