  4. On   the   24th   of   April  1990#
  5. in  New  York, Commodore presented#
  6. the  new  AMIGA 3000 for the first#
  7. time.  For Europe he was presented#
  8. at  the AMIGA 90 in Basle/Switzer-#
  9. land.                             #
  10. The   new  Kickstart  1.4  is  now#
  11. called  AMIGA OS 2.0. It was dated#
  12. with:  17th  of April '90. You see#
  13. it   was  really  in  last  second#
  14. finnished  for  presentation.  The#
  15. Workbench   is  also  new  in  the#
  16. version  2.0  (it was used to call#
  17. Workbench  1.4).  The  colours are#
  18. changed  to  grey.  It looks now a#
  19. little  bit  like  3D.  The  whole#
  20. screen-building-up  is  faster and#
  21. works  in  640*512  (Pal), 640*400#
  22. (Ntsc)  Non-Interlaced.  Some  new#
  23. Custom   Chip   Denise   makes  it#
  24. possible  to figure all old Screen#
  25. Formates  and  the  new ones, like#
  26. the    "Productivity - Mode"    in#
  27. 640*512 (4 colours out of a palete#
  28. of   64  colours)  in  60Hz  (Non-#
  29. Interlaced on a Multisync-Monitor)#
  30. and   the   new  Super - HiRes  in#
  31. 1280*512   (4  colours  out  of  a#
  32. palete  of  64 colours, Non-Inter-#
  33. laced on a Multisync, too). On the#
  34. normal   monitor   you   can   use#
  35. 1280*256  pixles  (1280*512 Inter-#
  36. laced).                           #

  38. There  are  two  versions  of  the#
  39. AMIGA 3000. Here are all the other#
  40. technical  dates of the new AMIGA:#

  42. - Motorola  68030  with  16Mhz  or#
  43.   25Mhz.                          #

  45. - MC68881 or MC68882 Co-Processor.#
  46.                                   #
  47. - New  Gfx-modes  up to the Super-#
  48.   HiRes:  1280*512  Non-Interlaced#
  49.   with 4 colours out of 64.       #

  51. - Harddisk    with    40MByte   or#
  52.   105MByte.                       #
  53.                                   #
  54. - 4  Slots for expansions with new#
  55.   standart     called    Zorro III#
  56.   (AMIGA 2000: Zorro II).         #

  58. - 1MByte   Chip - Memory   (up  to#
  59.   2MByte).                        #
  60.                                   #
  61. - Fast - Memory up to 16MByte.    #
  62.                                   #
  63. - Price: about $4000 or $5000.    #

  65. There  are  a lot of programs wich#
  66. do  not  work  on  the  new AMIGA,#
  67. because   of   the  new  Operation#
  68. System and the new Chips.         #

  70. Perhaps  it is a good rival to the#
  71. Apple   Macintosh   or   the   new#
  72. Atari TT,  because  the machine is#
  73. cheaper  and  perhaps a little bit#
  74. better.                           #
  75. For  sure  this  machine  is  only#
  76. produced for professional use.    #

  81. Your programs won't work on the   #
  82. A3000, if you didn't follow the   #
  83. rules from Commodore. By the way  #
  84. ALL my programs work on the       #
  85. A3000. (I've tested them !!!)     #
  86. It's your own fault, if your prgs #
  87. don't work. Try to program clean! #
