  1.              MAGNETIC FIELDS Select Party 3rd - 4th Feb 1990

  4. Hammer,Judge Drokk,and myself (Mr-Big)
  5. arrived in Doncaster at around 4pm. We
  6. expected to be  at a big hall  when we
  7. arrived  but it was  just  an ordinary
  8. house.As we walked towards the door we
  9. could  hear lots of noise from inside.
  10. we knocked and all was silent,the door
  11. opened   and  we  were  greeted  by  a
  12. familiar face, it was Frap of M.F. and
  13. he said "oh no, its Anarchy !" at that
  14. point the  noise level started to pick
  15. up again.We were now in a medium sized
  16. living room,packed to the rafters with
  17. people. There must have been 60 people
  18. in this small box.
  19.     We  pushed  our  way  through to a
  20. clearing  and started  to set our gear
  21. up, (which was kindly brought along by
  22. Mnemonic  of   the  Untouchables)  all
  23. around   there   were  people   who  I
  24. recognised.Well who was actually there
  25. : Oracle, Paradox UK, Acme, Acidforce,
  26. Illusions UK,  Inner City,  Mercenary,
  27. and of course Magnetic Fields.
  28.     The entrance fee to this party was
  29. only  a quid (reasonable) and beer and
  30. soft drinks were available at the bar.

  34. Food  was ordered from the local Pizza
  35. Hut  and was  promptly  delivered.  At
  36. around  8pm at lot of guys had cleared
  37. out, this gave us a chance to copy all
  38. the latest cracks,which had been down-
  39. loaded all day  by a good mate of mine
  40. 'Annialator  of  Oracle'.
  41.     Things were beginning to slow down
  42. now,  we  were  putting  our finishing
  43. touches  to our  party demo  which was
  44. the  entry  for  the  competition. All
  45. around there were bodies trying to get
  46. some   kip.   The   demo   and   music
  47. competition  were  not  until  2pm  on
  48. Sunday so we all crashed out until 8am
  49. Sunday morning.

  51. Sunday 4th

  54.     Well  what can I say,  we  woke up
  55. fucking freezing.Judge Drokk had tried
  56. to get some sleep in Hammer's car, but
  57. just  couldn't get off due to the fact
  58. it was around minus 10 outside. Inside
  59. however, things were  starting to warm
  60. up, Annialator  had just  downloaded a
  61. few  more  cracks,  and  everyone  got
  62. copies of our  party demo, and our new
  63. chip music disk.
  64.     At  around  1:30pm Number Five and
  65. Opal  arrived  to  judge the  demo and
  66. music entries.

  72. Verdict
  73. -------
  74.     Not  bad for a first  attempt, you
  75. can learn  a lot  from your first copy
  76. party.You can impress everyone and get
  77. a good name  for your group, or it can
  78. turn out shit ( like the Maffia one in
  79. wales )  and get a  bad name  for your
  80. group.  The  entrance  fee  was  cheap
  81. and food  and drink was available at a
  82. price. Well  done to  Magnetic Fields,
  83. lets  hope the next one you have is in
  84. a bigger place,but is just as much fun
  85. to attend.
