This document describes how to install, configure and maintain dedicated servers for popular multiplayer games, such as the Quake series, Half-Life/Counter-Strike and other first-person shooters. Linux makes a great operating system for game servers because of its stability and speed (not to mention it's free).

This document was started by me, Anders Jensen-Urstad because I couldn't find a good document that covered several popular multiplayer games describing how to set up servers for them. So instead of wading through piles of readmes, guides, howtos and web-pages I wrote this HOWTO.
