Setting the Preferences

To display the Preferences window, choose Tools > Preferences:

You can use the Preferences window:

• To set your preferred units; see Setting units of measurement.

• To set your preferred colors; see Setting colors.

• To set your preferences for how spliced images are blended; see Setting blending parameters.

Setting units of measurement

Use the drop-down menu in the Measurement Units group box to alter the units. You can choose from inches, centimeters, points and pixels.

Setting colors

Use the Display Colors group box to choose your color preferences for the following:

• Visible Section Border

• Section Border

• Image Border

• Background

To change any of the colors:

1. Choose Tools > Colors to display the color wheel and use it to pick a color. (See Choosing colors for information on how to choose colors.)

2. Drag the color from the color wheel and drop it on top of the color you wish to replace, in the Preferences window.

Setting blending parameters

Use the Horizontal Blend and Vertical Blend group boxes to set whether blending is used when you are splicing images together, and the amount of overlap over which blending occurs. You can set independent values for each direction.
