Copying values from an existing drawing

You can copy the values from a drawing in the Browser to the Controls panel. This is useful if, for example:

• You've set the values for one drawing, and then wish to check what a second drawing would look like with the same settings.

• You've added extra drawings to a level, and wish to process them with the same settings you used for the original level.

• You wish to copy the settings you used to process one level to another level that is drawn in a similar style.

To copy the values from one drawing, optionally previewing their effects on a second example drawing:

1. Open any example drawing you wish to preview (see Opening drawings to preview results).

The example drawing's current values - if any - appear in the Controls panel.

2. In the Browser window's list of Levels and Models, select the file containing the drawing from which you wish to copy values.

3. Select the drawing itself from the list of Drawings.

4. From the context-sensitive menu, choose Copy Region Layer Values, Copy Trace Layer Values, or Copy All Values - as appropriate:

• The values are copied into the Controls panel

They replace the values from when you opened the example drawing, in step 1.

• The Results window changes to preview what the copied values will do to the example drawing.

You can then adjust the values if necessary, before setting them in the Browser window. See Adjusting the Region Layer values, Adjusting the Trace Layer values, and Setting the values in the browser.
