Copying values from an existing drawing


You can copy the values from a drawing in the Browser to the Controls panel. This is useful if, for example:

To copy the values from one drawing, optionally previewing their effects on a second example drawing:

  1. Open any example drawing you wish to preview (see Opening drawings to preview results).
The example drawing's current values - if any - appear in the Controls panel.
  1. In the Browser window's list of Levels and Models, select the file containing the drawing from which you wish to copy values.
  1. Select the drawing itself from the list of Drawings.
  1. From the context-sensitive menu, choose Copy Region Layer Values, Copy Trace Layer Values, or Copy All Values - as appropriate:
They replace the values from when you opened the example drawing, in step 1.

You can then adjust the values if necessary, before setting them in the Browser window. See Adjusting the Region Layer values, Adjusting the Trace Layer values, and Setting the values in the browser.
