...to the net.disc for October, 1997.
Do anything on
the Internet...
This month's Site-o-Matic features several sites that are
surfable directly from the disc, with no Internet connection
required! These are actual offline versions of our Sites of the Month
(and a few other favorites). Special thanks to Anawave Software for
providing a pre-release version of
Anawave
WebSnake and invaluable technical assistance so that we could bring you
these sites.
As always, we've got some hot game action for you to sample. You can boldly go to our spellbinding demo of Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury. Spock has never looked better!
Here are the October Megalinks:
--TnT (Tools 'n' Tech to help you maximize your computer's potential) |
--Design (everything for the Web designer) |
-Sites (the sites we "snaked" using Anawave WebSnake; no Internet connection required!) |
--How2 |

We strongly recommend you use this disc with Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) for a number of reasons, chief among them that it lets you launch applications from the browser window. Plus, if you use IE, you'll see links in an eye-soothing format like this, thanks to the magic of Cascading Style Sheets. So to get the most out of this CD, you'll need to use IE.
You'll find a copy of Internet Explorer in the MSIE folder. Keep in mind that there is a time lag between the time we put the disc together and the time it hits the newsstands, so for the very latest versions, go to Microsoft's site.

I would like to give a special thanks to Chris Strodder. He works here at The Net and has been giving me tremendous help over the past two issues.
Please send any thoughts, comments, or ideas about the editorial side of the net.disc to cdrom@thenet-usa.com
Enjoy the net.disc!
