Shitty Shitty Band Band 5:30/pst
Shitty

"You guys fuckin' rock!" [Tori Spelling, important actress of the '90s and centered in the picture]

We were baptized Shitty Shitty Band Band back in the summer of 1996 after having played together for many years under many names. There are several underlying reasons why we chose this name, some simple, some complex. Some say we are in fact a band. Others might think we are a shitty band. More than one person has pointed out the uncanny physical similarities between our keyboardist, Stevie LaFollette, and Dick Van Dyke, the actor. As you may or may not know, Van Dyke starred in a movie called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the name of his flying invention/car. The book that this film was based upon was written by Ian Fleming in 1964. Our trombonist, Jeff, who bears strong similarity with neither Ian Fleming nor James Bond, thought this name would be good for a laugh. To his eternal dismay, the rest of the band embraced it in all seriousness and, to this date, we have not been able to get a decent gig in Vegas.

Vegas booking agents and fans, they'd love to
hear from you.

Captain Fat Ass 4:00/pst
Captain

Tori hasn't heard of Captain Fat Ass yet, but these guys rock as well. While it is conceivable that the Cap'n may manifest himself at any time in any body, he has, for more than a year now, taken hold of the bodies of four men in their twenties and thirties who reside in the fashionable Mission and Bernal Heights neighborhoods of San Francisco. Featuring former members of Spunkrusher, The Guitarguments, Horsedog and American Grownups, Cap'n Fatass is the culmination of many lonely nights with stringed instruments, creating a sound that is as hard to describe as it is to listen to.
