Dr. Paula's Things you must know before giving Medicine

  1. Your child's EXACT weight. Divide by two to get approximate kilograms.

  2. One teaspoon = 5cc = 5ml (note that "cc" and "ml" are the same measure)
    DO NOT USE A KITCHEN SPOON!

  3. CHILDREN'S preparations are a different concentration from INFANT'S preparations. DO NOT MIX THEM!

  4. SHAKE suspensions well.

  5. Call the pediatrician if you are not sure of the dose, even if the pharmacist has written instructions for you but you are not sure.
