Although this is a very simple model, it demonstrates the steps commonly used to create models with Amapi 3D: 1. Build the construction lines, meshes or basic volumes. Here a cube will be the base for the sloping plane and a circle will be the base for the cone.

The sloping plane
Þ Step 1: Make a cube
q Tool: Cube
We draw a cube. q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Construction/3D Primitives/Cube |
Þ Step 2: Cut the cube
q Tool: Cut
1. Take the Cut tool.
q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Modeling/Cut |
Þ Step 3: Create the sloping plane’s face
q Tool: Surface extract
Do a manual or automatic extraction of the face. q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Construction/Facet Extraction |
The cone
Þ Step 1: Draw the circle
q Tool: Drawing Tool, Circle
Next to the sloping plane, draw a circle which will be the base of the cone. q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Drawing/Circle |
Þ Step 2: Extrude the circle
q Tool: Extrusion
Extrude the circle up to the desired height for the cone. q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Construction/Extrusion/Direct Extrusion |
Þ Step 3: Finish the cone
q Tool: Weld
Weld the top section of the cone. q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Assembly/Welding |
Put the cone on the sloping plane
q Tool: Lay On
1. Select the Lay On tool (the cone is the current object).
q See the detailed explanations in the chapter: User Manual/Tools/Assembly/Lay On |
