www.fabwoman.com
Here's a site for the complete woman. Fabwoman.com is for all
those who are keen on tending to their inner and outer beauty.
The site has channels discussing attitudes, beauty, career,
cuisine, and health, besides other issues. It even offers online
shopping facilities for its registered members. The merchandise
features top brands such as Adidas, Revlon, Sony Music and Philips
to name a few. There's even an expert advice column with people
like Jiggs Kalra and Samantha Kochhar giving advice in their
areas of expertise. A directory service guides you to the most
interesting places to hang around, and the best places to wine
and dine in. However, the focus here is Mumbai and Delhi only.
Fabwoman.com has an online poll for all those beautiful women
out there who want to voice their opinion. |

www.indiajute.com
This is an awareness zone. The site tells us all about jute-how
cheap and easy it is to grow and how the production of jute
products can harness the large Indian labour force. An interesting
and useful feature of this site is that it gives the current
price list of jute and jute products and also the list of various
suppliers in the country. |

www.chachoo.net
This is a site you can put into your favourites folder without
a second thought. It has links to some of the well-known animation
sites such as www.pixar.com, www.digimation.com, www.d2.com
and www.warnerbrothers.com. The interface of the site is interactive
and is prepared in Flash. It has games like PAMELoony, ashoo
and Staloony. And while you are at it, you will not miss the
funny Sardarji, Sundoo, who tells you about his many (mis)adventures.
Chachoo.net has a greeting card collection and a search option
that allows you to search for your favourite items on the Net.

www.enjoynwin.com
As the name suggests, this site is all about enjoying yourself.
It has a good, though small collection of e-cards, screensavers
and wallpapers. If you are thinking of increasing the number
of friends you have or simply want to debate on a hot topic,
then you should check out their e-friends and e-debate section.
But to enjoy the goodies you must first register. And for
those who want to hone their gaming skills, there are games
like Tic Tac Toe and Chinese Tiles in the interactive section.
The themes section is a talent showcase, but in order to participate
(and enjoy the victory prize), you must register with the
site. There is even a section for kids called Junior Kingdom,
which includes brainteasers, quotes and contests.

BSES Telecom to offer broadband services
BSES Telecom plans to start its broadband services from
January 1 and is also in the process of setting up its Ku-band
satellite gateway in Mumbai. It plans to sell bandwith to
B and C level ISPs once it's gateway is operational. The company
has also laid a 200-km optical fibre cable network in Mumbai
and plans to lay another 200 km by March 2001.
The need for speed
Pacific Internet India (PII) has plans to establish four
internet gateways, a move that will increase user speed. Currently
operational in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune,
the ISP will now be able to extend its services to 25 cities
by 2001. PII is also forming a joint venture with the Indian
unit of Star TV for providing local Internet services.
International gateway comes to town
Wilnetonline has commissioned its first international
gateway at Ahmedabad, which will provide an uncompressed bandwidth
of 10 Mbps (equivalent to 40 Mbps of VSNL bandwidth). This
new gateway will enable Indian users to connect to Internet
networks in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
The ISP also plans to extend its reach to Jammu and Jaipur
within a couple of months and extend its network to 25 cities
by the end of 2001.
