Installation Requirements

You must manually uninstall all Hummingbird products older than version 6.2 before installing version 7.x. If a single (version 6.2) product exists on the computer, Setup Wizard can uninstall it. Multiple version 6.2 products must be uninstalled manually.

Please refer to the appropriate manual for more details about installation requirements (operating system, disk space, etc.) affecting Hummingbird connectivity products.

Third Party Software

Certain third party software must be installed to run some Hummingbird products. The Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required to run Java programs.

For example, you must install JRE before installing the following product sub-features:

• Systems Administration--Jconfig (client)
• Systems Administration--Jconfig Daemon

Hummingbird Master Setup lets you install third party add-on(s) such as:

• Adobe Acrobat Reader
