Microsoft ActiveX Conferencing SDK

The Microsoft® ActiveX® Conferencing Software Development Kit (SDK) is provided in compressed, downloadable format below. This SDK provides the following nine application programming interface (API) functions for adding conferencing support to your application:

ConferenceShareWindow
ConferenceGetInfo
ConferenceSendFile
ConferenceDisconnect
ConferenceIsWindowShared
ConferenceSetInfo
ConferenceSendData
ConferenceLaunchRemote (new in version 1.0, Beta 1, of the SDK)

For more information on these functions, see the online Help file (located in the \Help folder after you download the SDK). The Microsoft Conferencing SDK also contains several sample applications that demonstrate the use of the Conferencing APIs.

Please note: The Microsoft ActiveX Conferencing SDK is currently available in preliminary form for Internet developers only. The components of the SDK are meant to be used for development and testing purposes only. Please note that the SDK and its components are not yet available for general use and are non-redistributable.

We've provided the preliminary version of the SDK in downloadable format below. Please note that in the longer term, Microsoft's Internet development-related technologies will be available through MSDN membership, thus ensuring that you receive the latest technology and the supporting technical information delivered to you on a regular basis.

Requirements:

The ActiveX Conferencing SDK version 1.0 Beta 1 runs only on the U.S. version of Windows® 95. Do not install this version of the SDK on Windows NT®, Windows 3.1, or localized versions of Windows 95.
You must install the Microsoft NetMeeting application in order to use the SDK.

Download the Microsoft ActiveX Conferencing SDK (self-extracting, self-installing file, 271K). After downloading, please read the README.TXT file in the \Samples folder for further information.
