When you use Windows programs or surf the web, some of your "footprints" are left, as which pages you have visited, which programs you have started etc. Track Remover will try to remove these logs to protect your privacy.
If you use SafeClean Utilities on large drives, they may report a value smaller than the actual size. Well, it's not a bug and let me explain why. If the disk is supposed to be 6.4Gb, the actual size is 6 400 000 000 bytes. SafeClean Utilities calculate as Windows Explorer, that means 1Gb = 1024 Mb, 1 MB = 1024 KB etc. And this drive will be reported as 6 400 000 000 / (1024 * 1024 * 1024) = 5.96 GB. It doesn't mean that the drive has become smaller, it's just a way to count it.
Disk Efficiency indicates how efficient the current file system is. The algorithm is (Total File Size)/(Used Space)*100. In most file systems, especially FAT16 used by most Windows95 systems, a file takes more space than it actually is. Many small files usually take more place than one big file in the same size. Generally, NTFS used by Windows NT is more efficient than FAT32 which is supported by Windows95 OSR2 and Windows98, and FAT32 is more efficient than FAT16.
Since the algorithm is pretty simple, the value is not always correct. In following cases, DiskInfo will display wrong value:
