The Browser is a convenient way to browse your sample collections, presets and projects directly inside FruityLoops, without wasting time to browse files through standard Windows dialog boxes. It can be docked on the left or right sides of the main window (just drag it to either side of the screen).
Left-click a folder to expand it. Clicking again will collapse it. Left-clicking on wave samples, DrumSynth, SimSynth and Sampler presets will preview them. Right-clicking a sample or a SimSynth/DrumSynth preset will put it in the sample bank of the topmost selected channel (if it is Sampler or generator that supports custom oscillator shapes). Right-clicking a generator or score preset applies it to the topmost selected channel. Right-clicking a FruityLoops loop file will open it. Right-clicking a MIDI file imports its note events to the topmost selected channel. To import controller events instead, drag and drop the file in an Event Editor.
All loops, samples, SimSynth, DrumSynth, generator and score presets can be also applied with standard drag and drop operations. For example to apply TS404 preset to a channel, just drag and drop the preset on the appropriate channel settings button (see Step Sequencer).
Since FruityLoops 3.1, the Browser contains a special folder named Current Project. When expanded, this folder shows a list of patterns that contain events for one or more automated controls. The entries in those subfolders represent the controls that contain events in the corresponding pattern. Left-clicking an entry opens its Event Editor. Right-clicking opens a menu that allows you to open an Event Editor in a new window and link the control to a MIDI controller for remote controlling.
Each file appears in the Browser with a special icon on the left side of its name:
<FruityLoops Folder>/Samples/Instruments - Contains a collection of generator presets;
<FruityLoops Folder>/Samples/TS404 Presets - Contains a collection of TS404 presets;
<FruityLoops Folder>/Samples/TS404 Shapes - Contains a collection of TS404 shapes;

You can also add custom folders to be seen in the Browser from the Directories window.
