The main window is divider into:

As a first exercise we will recreate the default Windows logon:

There are tree panels (1,2,3 in the picture) each panel should contain a bitmap for the background; for the moment we will use a bitmap only for the centre panel (2).

So select “Centre Panel” from “Panels” in the “Elements” window (or simply click in the preview window) the “Properties” list will show all properties of centre panel click on picture and then on the button “..”  it will show an “Edit Picture” window.

Check “Use Picture” and click OK

This will be the result:

The image is tiled to fill all area; you can change that with the style field.

So set style to 1) Fixed Size.

Now is time to set the backcolor of the panel

The backcolor is specified as a gradient from “FirstColor” on the left to “LastColor” on the right.

Click on “First Color” you can select a color by pressing the “..” button, but it’s difficult to find the right one, so press “Pick Color” in the toolbar.

It will appear a window like this:

Move the mouse in the preview area with the Shift key pressed to pick a color (for that example use the darkest blue).

Select “FirstColor” in Prop. Window and click on “Paste” it will paste the selected color code in the prop field.

Do the same with “Lastcolor” now it should look like this:

Now it’s time to move accounts to the right; to do this select “User”->”User Account” in Ele. Window and then the “Account position” property, click the “..” button and select the same position of the pic above.

The last thing to do is to set the color and the font of the displayed messages:

Select all messages in the Ele window and for each one choose white for the foreground color.

You can also change the text displayed with the “Caption” property.

We have finished! Here is the result:

Now click on “Save” to save your work and let’s test it!

Click on “Make” and then on “Apply” Log off and preview it!

(You can automatically Log out when applying a new logon selecting the autologoff option under “Options” in the main LogonStudio window)

That’s all for the moment; play around with properties and bitmaps to test it or download a theme from www.wincustomize.com

Have a good Day
