Netscape Communicator is the total Internet suite offered by Netscape to combat Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. By following the instructions below you can set it up to use on Madasafish.
Click on Edit and then Preferences. You should now have the same screen as below.
This is where you enter the URL (web address) of the page that you wish Netscape to start with.
As you can see from the screen shot you can enter a particular web page or choose a blank page.
Once you have completed this click on the ‘+’ next the Mail &Newsgroups heading. This should expand the menu. Highlight the Identity tab and enter the information as below.

| Email Address: | Your Email Address |
| Reply-to Address: | The address you want people to reply to. (Only enter this if the address is different from the one entered in the Email Address field). |
| Organization: | Your Company Name (if sending email on behalf of them) |
| Signature File: | The name of a text file (TXT) that you wish to attach at the end of all your emails. This will normally contain your name and any other relevant information. |
Once you have completed this section, click on the Mail Servers tab and then on Add if there is no account set-up or highlight the account to be changed and click on Edit. Enter the Server Name as pop.madasafish.com and the User Name as your Email Username.
Ensure that the Server Type is set for POP3 Server. On this section you can choose to have Netscape remember your e-mail password. By clicking on the POP tab you can ask Netscape to leave e-mail on the server. This is handy if you download the e-mail in more that one location.
When you click on OK this should take you back to the main screen, you should then enter the name of the outgoing mail server (smtp.madasafish.com) in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server field as in the screen below.
Once this section is completed you are now ready to send and receive e-mail using Netscape Communicator.
To set-up to read News Groups, click on Newsgroup Server heading on the left and then click on Add, you should enter news.madasafish.com as the News Server.
If you now click on OK all the way out you are now ready to start using Netscape Communicator for Newsgroups.
