Setting Up Netscape 2.x and 3.x

This document describes how to set up the Netscape browser for Madasafish. Netscape versions 2.x and 3.x are basically the same so the settings will apply to both.

The important thing to note is that in addition to Netscape you will also need a dialer that can connect you to the Internet – this will need to be set up separately. The Windows 3.x version will usually use Netscape’s own Personal Edition dialer but the Windows 95 version normally use Windows 95 Dial Up Networking.

This document only describes how to set up the browser itself.

Start up Netscape Navigator.

Click on the Options menu and click on Mail and News Preferences.

Then click on the Server tab at the top of the screen.

Then click on OK.

Netscape Navigator (2.x or 3.x) will now be set up to work with Madasafish.
