The Codebase Parameter

The codebase parameter tells the browser in which (relative) catalog it should search in for the applet's class file and other dependent files, such as images and sounds. Note that you should not use this parameter if you want the upload and download functions of VAC to work correctly. As a rule, ALL files should be in the same catalog as the HTML file and this parameter should be empty.
