Introduction to the Interface - Previewing Documents

ScriptWorx has a built-in preview which uses Internet Explorer (if available), but users without Internet Explorer will be able to use an alternative preview method. If you have Mozilla installed on your system, ScriptWorx can also use the Mozilla control for internal previews.

To use the internal preview, click on the "Preview" tab below the editor. If you wish to use Mozilla as a preview tool, you should go to the Mozilla site and download the latest version. Should Mozilla already be present on your system, open up the ScriptWorx "Preferences" window (see Edit menu) and click on the "Display" option and check the "Enabled Mozilla Preview" box.

Using Other Browsers

You can use an external browser (up to six) to preview your pages. Simply go to the "Tools" menu, select "Preview" and choose the browser you wish to use. For details on how to add or remove browsers, see below.

  • Open the "Preferences" window from the "Edit" menu.
  • Click on the "Programs" option is the list on the left.
  • Choose "Auto-Configure" to allow ScriptWorx to find Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Netscape 6, Opera and Lynx.
  • Alternatively you can add browsers manually.
  • Click the "Add" button and use the dialog to browse for your Browser's executable.
  • When the browser has been added, choose "Rename" browser to set the name of the browser. Repeat as needed.
  • Click the "OK" button to update your browser options.
