Working with Images - Flash Buttons

ScriptWorx can take a selection of similar images, usually in the JPEG format and create a 'rollover' style effect to produce a button. This button does not require the images to be preloaded, and uses the Flash technology which is supported on almost all computers.

To create a Flash Rollover: choose "Flash RolloverÂ…" from the Insert menu.

The "normal image" option refers to the default image shown, without the mouse pointer being present over the button.

"Highlighted image" is the image that will be displayed when the mouse pointer is present over the button.

Finally, the "pressed image" indicates the image that will be show when the mouse pointer actually clicks the button.

FAQ Guide

Do I need Macromedia Flash installed on my PC?

No. ScriptWorx provides native support for the Flash format, without needing either the Flash Player or editing programs.

How do I preload my images?

You don't need to. The JPEG images are optimized in Flash, allowing the buttons to load quickly without using JavaScript.

Can I modify my button using Flash?

You can open the .swf file generated - we do not add the security code to prevent the file from being edited in Flash. We do not guarantee that the buttons generated will work with other Flash manipulation tools.
