E-mail Delivery - Configuring SMTP Settings To configure your SMTP settings, navigate to the E-mail Delivery options screen (under Preferences and Settings). This can be accessed by clicking the "Preferences and Settings" icon on the main ChatBlocker interface (third button from the left located at the top of the interface). Once this window has loaded, you may began setting up your settings for SMTP e-mail delivery!
SMTP Host - This is your mail server for outgoing e-mail's. An example SMTP server is as follows:
Send To - This is the E-mail Address that will be RECEIVING the e-mail containing the ChatBlocker log. Make sure this is exact and correct, otherwise you will not receive the logs! Subject - This is the subject of the e-mail that will contain the ChatBlocker recorded logs. This can be changed for total concealment and to make it less discrete in case someone happens to see it. From Address - This is the e-mail address that the e-mail log will be delivered from. This is usually the same address as the "Send To" address, however, if you are using the default SMTP server of "mail.exploreanywhere.com", you must make the From Address exactly as the following:
Send Interval - This is simply how often you wish to have the ChatBlocker log delivered. This should usually be every 10-30 minutes, or sooner/later depending the urgency of having the log delivered. Testing Your Settings To test your settings to ensure they are 100% correct, you can do so by clicking the button labeled "Test/Simulate E-mail Delivery Settings". This will simulate an actual e-mail log delivery. If the test is successful, you will receive a confirmation notice. Otherwise, ChatBlocker will give you the option to look at the exact error that occurred for further investigation. |
