Eudora Light Configuration
This configuration sheet describes the setup of Eudora Light on its initial startup after installation. Including the basic configuration options that are available to an already installed Eudora Light. You should have your TPG Internet Invoice or Voucher with you, which has your username & password, as well as other Setup Configuration details you will require.

To access these options on a currently running Eudora Light select Tools and then Options. Follow these steps once you have installed Eudora Light. Go to Start on the taskbar and open Programs option and then the Eudora Light group. Click on Eudora Light.

Step 1: Setting Up

  1. Choose whether you wish to make Eudora the default e-mail program. This means, if a program or browser needs to load an e-mail program it will automatically load Eudora Light.
  2. Select Getting Started from the icons. Enter in the right column your PoP3 Account. The format is username@PoP3-Server eg. username@Syd-mail.tpg.com.au (details on your TPG Internet Invoice).
  3. Enter in your Real Name and Return Address. Your return address is your e-mail address. Winsock will already be selected as the default connection.
  4. Select the Personal Info icon from the left column and enter your Dialup Username. This is your normal username.
  5. Select the Hosts icon from the left column. Enter the SMTP (Outgoing) mail server you have been supplied with and the phone number for your connection in the right hand options list.
  6. Select the Checking Mail icon from the left column. Check Save password. After the first time you collect your mail and enter a password it will save it for future reference.
  7. Select the Sending Mail icon from the left column. Enter tpg.com.au in the right column as the Domain to add to unqualified addresses.
  8. Once you have set these settings select OK and close Eudora. Re-open Eudora and you will be ready to e-mail.
