mong the many photojournalists shooting for 24 Hours in Cyberspace was Tipper Gore, wife of the Vice President. As a roving photographer, Tipper began the day taking candid photographs of her husband. Trailing her was Associated Press photographer Ron Edmonds, who photographed Tipper at work.

Here is what she says about her involvement in the project: "My hope is that my digital photographs will provide a small window into the vast educational and communication possibilities that exist in cyberspace. I've spent time photographing some of the issues that are close to my heart. I've visited students who are using the Internet to share environmental data retrieved near their school. Both my husband, the vice president, and I firmly believe that education at all ages is a primary component to solving many of the social problems this country faces."

With access any photojournalist would envy, Tipper captured the president and vice president at the historic signing of the Telecommunications Act in the Library of Congress. She says, "Al has worked tirelessly on this bill for years because he believes it will revolutionize the way we live, work, and do business."
