Yun, 39, is a 1984 graduate of the Seoul Institute of the Arts, where he studied photography. He began working as a photographer that same year for a woman's magazine in Seoul. He joined the Associated Press in November, 1987, and is now AP's chief photographer in Seoul. His assignments for AP have taken him to much of Asia and have run the gamut from sports and features to civil unrest and natural disasters.
