Tara Sosrowardoyo was born into a diplomat's family in New York City, and was raised in various parts of the world. He has exhibited sporadically in Indonesia and overseas, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, A&M, BusinessWeek, AsiaWeek, and Vogue Paris. His work also appears in numerous books, including Passage to Vietnam. He has made a name for himself as an art director and photographer of recording album covers, and as a stills photographer for the Indonesian feature film industry. Tara hopes to be able to open a small digital imaging studio in Jakarta in the not too distant future.
