Doug Menuez

In 1989, Doug Menuez co-produced 15 Seconds: The Great California Earthquake of 1989, a book which raised over a half-million dollars for earthquake victims. He began his photojournalistic career shooting for newspapers in 1978, and shortly thereafter won an internship at the Washington Post. In 1982, he began working for Time, Life, Newsweek, U.S. News, Fortune, People, USA Today and other national and international publications, covering news, feature stories and sports in the United States and abroad. His work has appeared in six Day in the Life books, The Power to Heal, Circle of Life, The African Americans, and The Mission. In 1987, Menuez founded Reportage, a photographic agency specializing in black-and-white photojournalism for corporations. In 1993, he published Defying Gravity: The Making of Newton. The book won the gold medal in the Photo District News Photo/Design Contest.
