Eniac Martinez Ulloa

Eniac Martinez Ulloa was born in Mexico City where he lives today. He studied at the International Center of Photography, the Monday Workshop, the National School of Plastic Arts, and the Cuban Superior Institute of Art. Martinez Ulloa has present solo exhibitions at the Tisch School of the Arts at N.Y.U, the House of Culture and the Tacuba Metro station. He has shown in collective exhibitions in Mexico, France, the U.S., Germany, Ireland and Canada. Among these exhibitions was that of the Winners of the Documentary Photography Competition, sponsered by Mother Jones Magazine and shown in the Ansel Adams Museum in San Francisco. Among other recognitions, in 1989 Martinez Ulloa was awarded first prize in the Mother Jones Magazine International Competition for documentary photography, and a Fulbright grant for creative work. His work has been published in Independent Magazine, Daily Telegraph, National Geographic, Elle and Buzz, among others. In Mexico, Martinez Ulloa's work has been shown in Mexico Desconocido, Milenio, Viceversa, Sacbe, Mexico Indigena, Luna Cornea, and La Jornada.
