Katsumi Kasahara joined the Associated Press, Tokyo as a staff photographer in 1977. He won a News Photo Award from the New York Deadline Club in 1985. He has covered many Olympic events including those in Seoul, Calgary, Albertville, and Lillehammer. He also experienced in digital photography that he uses for news and design photos.
