Since 1979, Barry Iverson has been a professional photographer based in Cairo, Egypt and covering the Middle East and Africa. He has photographed for Time magazine since 1981. In 1985, he was awarded a Fulbright grant that resulted in a book, Comparative Views of Egypt.
