Annie Griffiths Belt began assignment work at the National Geographic Society in 1978. Since then, she has worked on more than two dozen magazines and book projects for the Society, including stories on Baja California, North Dakota, Britian's Pennine Way, Vancouver, England's Lake District, Israel's Galilee, and Jerusalem. Annie's work has also appeared in Life, Geo, Smithsonian, Fortune, American Photo, Merian, Stern, and many other publications. Recent books include A Day in the Life of Ireland, Baseball in America, The Power to Heal, Heartland of a Continent, A Day in the Life of Hollywood, and Material World. Her photographs have been exhibited in New York, Washington, Moscow, and Tokyo. She has received awards from the National Press Photography Association, the Associated Press, the National Organization of Woman, and the White House News Photographers Association.
