Bill Frakes has participated in several Day in the Life projects and is a contract photographer for Sports Illustrated. He has degrees from Arizona State University and the University of Kansas. He is a former POY Newspaper Photographer of the Year and was a member of the Miami Herald staff that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1992. He has also won awards from the World Press Foundation, the Overseas Press Club, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards, and Pictures of the Year. His advertising clients include Kodak, IBM, Coca Cola and Reebok. Originally from Nebraska, Bill Frakes now resides in Florida.
