Charlie Cortez is currently working full-time for the Elmira Star-Gazette. He has acquired five years of photo experience since graduating from Oakland University. He is an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Press Photo Association. He recently won the first place New York Associated Press Award in Portrait, and second place in Spot News.
