Torin Boyd

Torin Boyd began his career photographing for surfing magazines in Cocoa Beach, Florida in the late 1970s. After graduating from photography school, he worked for the Cocoa Today and the Orlando Sentinel. He lived in New York from 1983 to 1985 working for leading news magazines and editorial firms. He has worked as an editor and photographer on seven Day in the Life book projects. Based in Tokyo since 1986, he tends to specialize in modern day Japan. He is a contract photographer for U.S. News & World Report, and his work appears in Fortune, BusinessWeek and various Japanese news magazines.
