Commenting your task is beneficial for a number of reasons. First, it makes it clear to others who may need to examine your task what the task is supposed to be doing, and the reasons why it is doing what it is doing. Secondly, it provides a convenient place to explain workarounds or rationale behind certain approaches you may take in a task that may not be intuitively clear. Finally, it is indispensable for those times when you come back to edit a large task you made months ago, and need a quick refresher as to how the task is constructed.
