Profile Menu : you can consult / modify your data from this feature. You can request the password on launch of FlowProtector, the web filter or just accessing the Profile Menu. You can launch on start up the secure web browser. back

FlowBand located on the Taskbar :

Detect modem connection to the Internet and launch FlowProtector with just one click.

To use it : right click on the taskbar, then toolbar, then FlowProtector (see gil file below).

To deactivate, same procedure.

FlowBand features :

1 - Detect Internet connection using a modem under Win 95/ Win 98.
2 - Launch FlowProtector in one click.

Web Neutralizor (secure web browser) : You can neutralize / deactivate the sending of the URL consulted while browsing the web through FlowNeutralizor.

It prevents spying software installed on your PC to transmit the URL's to third parties, especially when you use companion. You continue to receive instant messages without the software publisher being able to obtain a copy of the consulted Web pages. You preserve the best.

Example : If you browse the web through the Neutralizor (web secure browser), companion tool like Odigo won't even know that you are on the Internet. They will dispatch a message like "Web browser closed".

But in fact you are on the Internet and you will get instant messages from your friends without being spied.
Your on the internet but nobody knows from your PC where you are, they just know that you are online, like Yahoo messenger or ICQ does.

This secure web browser doesn't automaticly fill URL to avoid tracking.

It is compatible with IE plugins and Java/Javascript, except for Open Windows javascript that must be certified by CheckFlow - contact us at certifjava@checkflow.com

Web Filter :

More than 1500 childs disappeared in 1999 in the USA.

FlowProtector include a Free Web filter against, pornographic, racists, pedophilian material. The web filter detects keywords and website URL. The concept of the filter rests on you, we provide the technology, you tell us
which content you want to block through the web secure browser.

Filter functionalities :

First of all you have to activate the web filter to be able to use it.

1 - Detect and block keywords on search engines.
Example : Go to Yahoo, search for fuck, the search is blocked.

2 - Detect and block access to website in the forbidden list.
Example : Try to go to whitehouse.com in the secure web browser, it won't work. Try to go to whitehouse.net, no problem.

You are in charge of adding website to the forbidden list, we just provide the technology for free.

How to use Web Filter?

Menu web filter, then "Yes", then select which categories you want to block.

Tell us which website you wish to filter

When you wish to block access to a website containing illegal material, every single user of FlowProtector will be able to upgrade his personal forbidden list. Just enter the URL or keyword you want to block and click on SEND

Upgrade Web Filter

When new sites or keywords are added to the forbidden list, the CheckFlow news panel display a message, then you just have to click on upgrade web filter from the Web Filter menu.

How to activate access control to Web Filter menu?

Profile Menu than click on "Request my activation key and password for Web filter and Profile"

Cookies and Cache menu:

Cookies (A cookie is a text file containing information that a web site stores on your computer.)

You can browse Netscape and IE cookies and erase them.

1 - Select web browser.
2 - Select "look at them" or "Erase".
3 - Manage Cookies, you can erase them on FlowProtector start up.

Cache ( mirror folder of your Internet connection, include web pages, gif etc ...)

You can erase the Netscape Cache and soon IE's

1 - Select web browser.
2 - Select erase cache.

CheckFlow Notation and Vote :

You can access merchant descriptive sheet, scoring and vote after a purchase.

1- If you didn't request merchant scoring during registration you can click on "GET THE LIST", select on and add it to your favorites
3- Then select the merchant in "Favorites merchant" window to access the scoring.
4- To access the descriptive sheet click on "MORE INFOS".
5- To vote, select a merchant in "Favorites merchant" and follow the procedure.

Tips :

Activate/déactivate the Flowneutralizor on start up.

Profile menu then click on "Launch the secure web browser on FlowProtector start up". We recommend that you access your online broker, bank account, health advisor through the FlowNeutralizor to be sure that no one can spy on you when you access sensitive data.

FlowProtector Allways on Top.

Right click on the upper left corner and select "Allways on top".

Erase Cookies and Cache on FlowProtector start up.

Menu "Cookies and Cache" then Cookies management, then select "Erase cookies each time I launch FlowProtector" For the Cache, select "Sure" under "Erase Cache"

Warning : the FlowBand is an independant apps, it mean that you have to launch FlowProtector to erase automatilcy Cookies and Cache.
