Grabbing an Image

When you install Image Co-Tracker at your computer, the database contains one recordùthe Cogitum LC image describing how to use the program. Basically, to add an image to the database, you have to ôgrabö it:

1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, or switch to the Microsoft Internet Explorer window
2. Go to a Web site from where you want to grab an image or open an image saved locally. To open an image saved on your computer:
      a.Select File -> Open...
      b. Click Browse...
      c. Select the file type in the file type drop down list. If you are not sure about the file type select "All files"
      d. Select location of the file and click Open
3. Position the pointer on top of the image you want to grab, then click the right mouse button. The pop-up menu will appear:

• Name. The name of the image, if it has one. This information is captured automatically.
• Refers to. The Internet address the image refers to, if applicable. Again, this information is captured automatically.
• Comment. User-defined comments. This field is empty by default. There are no limitations on the length of this field value.
• Catalog. The catalog where you want to store the selected image. Use the Open button to change it.
• Category. The specified group into which you want to place this image for organizational purposes. When you create new categories, they will appear in the drop-down list.
• Set as default category. Allows you to set the current category as the one that will be assigned automatically to newly added images.

At any time you can change all the information entered in the Grab Image window.
