Thursday 12 September 1996. ComponentSource™ today announced a partnership with Microsoft® to include its componentware CDs with all new copies of Visual Basic® (English International version) sold in Europe.

16 August 1996. UK based software component supplier, ComponentSource, is launching its latest CD with over 250 ActiveX controls, software components and companion products into the rest of Europe.

5 August 1996. European component supplier, ComponentSource, has introduced a new potential revenue stream that will benefit software houses and freelance developers making their own software components.

2 July 1996. In response to an increased demand for certified Microsoft professionals, Microsoft have joined forces with component supplier ComponentSource, to deliver their Mastering Series training courseware using a unique set of three CDs. Each of the 3 courses, (Mastering Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Access Programming), offers in-depth interactive training and is designed for experienced developers, as well as developers starting from scratch. The aim of the CDs is to provide all the details necessary to pass the Microsoft certification exam.

4 March 1996. Developers can now use a compact disk to instantly access full retail versions and demonstrations of Visual Basic components. The first of its kind in the world, the new CD, (available on request), is being launched by a newly founded company, ComponentSource and is aimed at corporate IT developers, software houses and contract software professionals.
