ImageViewer offers numerous windows that provide additional information or allow you to add infomration like comments and keywords to an image file.
You can view all the data associated with an image file by using the Show Info option.
To View Image Info:
- Choose an image in the window.
- Select Show Info from the Window menu.
Image Info:
- Name
- File Type
- File Creator
- Colors (color depth)
- DPI (resolution)
- Size (disk and memory requirements)
- Area (physical size of image)
- Date (last modification date)
- Frame
- Compression (type of file compression)
You can set images in a window to fit within the window, or view them using the full screen. If an image is smaller than the window, and Fit to Window is not chosen, then image will only expand to its full size.NOTE: Changing the image display size does not modify the actual image, only the scale at which it is displayed.
To Fit Image Size to a Window:
- Select Fit to Window from the View menu.
To View an Image Full Screen:
- Select Full Screen from the View menu.
NOTE: Command-period will exit full screen mode.
You can quickly enlarge an image view up to 1600% using the Enlarge option. Each time you invoke the command, the next larger scale is used to display the image until the maximum of 1600% is reached.To Enlarge an Image:
- Select Enlarge from the View menu.
You can quickly reduce an image view down to 25% using the Enlarge option. Each time you invoke the command, the next smaller scale is used to display the image until the minimum of 25% is reached.To Reduce an Image:
- Select Reduce from the View menu.
You can add comments to an image file in a catalog using the Comments option.
To Add a Comment:
- Select Comments from the Edit menu.
- Enter the comment.
- Close the Comments window.
You can add keywords to an image file in a catalog using the Keywords option.
To Add a Keyword:
- Select Keywords from the Edit menu.
- Enter the keywords.
- Close the Keywords window.
