General Properties

The General Properties tab lets you tell WinDVD which drive is the DVD drive, and whether to autostart whenever a disk is inserted into the DVD drive.

Current Regions

Select the region in which you reside. For more information about regions and regional coding, see Region Codes.

Remaining times until permanent

Regional codes become permanent after a specified number of disks have been played. This feature shows you the number of times remaining until the region you have selected becomes your permanent region.

Default DVD Drive

Select the drive letter that is designated as your computer's DVD drive. . A list of available disc drives drops down when you click the select button.

Autoplay

If you want WinDVD to launch automatically whenever a disk is inserted into the DVD Drive, enable this feature.

Toolbar
Enabling this feature displays the toolbar across the top of the video window.
Statusbar
Enabling this feature displays the status bar across the bottom of the video window.
Player
Enabling this feature displays the WinDVD control panel.
