To place a secure call

1. Click the Place Call button.
2. In To, type one of the following:
• e-mail address
• computer name
• telephone number
• IP address
3. In Using, click the appropriate connection type.
4. Select the Require security for this call check box, and then click Call.

Notes

• If you select security on a call-by-call basis, place your calls through the Place Call button rather than the Address bar or a SpeedDial. The Address bar and SpeedDial do not give you the Place A Call dialog box, which displays the Require security for this call check box.
• You can set your security setting to place secure calls by default. When a call is secure by default, you may place a secure call through the Address bar, SpeedDial, or the Place Call button.
