Make Word 97 easier on your eyes
Tip Does Word's white background hurt your eyes? A new feature in Word 97 lets you change the background colour of your editing screen to any shade under the sun. It's simple to do but not obvious to most users. Here's how to use this feature: 1. Select File--Open, then load normal.dot as you would any document. It's usually in the MSOffice/Templates directory. 2. Select Format--Background and select the colour of your choice. 3. Select File--Save, then File--Close. All new documents you create in Word will appear with the background colour you selected. These background colours appear only on screen; they do not print. - George Campbell Change Word 97's background colour by modifying the normal.dot template
