Anonymity 4 Proxy Any web site can track your movements through its pages by monitoring your IP address. One way you can hide your IP address is to log on to a "proxy server," which can act as a buffer between your PC and the web sites you're accessing; the data you request comes to the proxy first, and then it is transmitted to you. This program includes a database with hundreds of anonymous public proxy servers located all over the world. To help you choose a server, the program lets you scan each server, check its response time, confirm its anonymity, and test its speed in connecting to the web site or FTP server you're interested in. |
