	Format a data CD with CD-R

Place a blank CD-R disc in the Recorder

Select CD Recorder; press right mouse button; select HyCD Format

Select NONE for Erase Option

Select Format Option and press Start


	Format a data CD with CD-RW

Place a blank or used CD-RW disc in the Recorder

Select CD Recorder; press right mouse button; select HyCD Format

Select NONE for Erase Option

Select Format Option and press Start. (format will erase old data)

Most CD readers, although rated faster than 6X for data reading, can onlly extract audio at 6X reliably. Because of this, we set the audio extraction speed to 6X by default. If this is still too fast, the speed will be reduced automatically until the correct setting is reached. The only readers that can extract audio at a higher speed reliably are made by Plextor. If you use one of these readers the software will extract the audio at a higher speed.
