Most CD Readers can extract Data at Max speed and Audio at 2X.
With some Mitsumi or Plextor readers, you can extract Audio at 8X or faster. |

|
How to Configure CD Recorder |
|
|
|
- Select CD Recorder; press right mouse button; select Properties
- Select HyCD Options Tab. Set the read and write speed to the maximum allowed.
- Set Recording Mode default to Test & Write
to test before recording to CD. Because of the testing, this method takes longer to record the CD, but it will automatically find the optimal writing speed for your system and assure a quality recording. After using
Test & Write the first time, you will not have to use it with every recording session.
- If you set Recording Mode default to Write, you can record to CD directly without testing, but it may cause Data Underrun.
-- For more information, please read Preventing Data Underrun.

Most CD readers, although rated faster than 6X for data reading, can onlly extract audio at 6X reliably. Because of this, we
set the audio extraction speed to 6X by default. If this is still too fast, the speed will be reduced automatically until the correct setting is reached. The only readers that can extract audio at a higher
speed reliably are made by Plextor. If you use one of these readers the software will extract the audio at a higher speed. |
