IPexpress IPexpress speeds surfing by storing the actual IP numbers of your frequently visited websites. It holds a local table of IP addresses and tells your browser to check that table before asking the DNS (domain name server) at your ISP. Therefore, a local search is conducted without generating network traffic. Since IP addresses need to be resolved for all web traffic, your mail, FTP, gopher and IRC can also benefit from this application. Another bandwidth-saving
feature is the Host Blocker. It allows you to select certain servers
to not load with your page (banner ads, for example). |
