Script.tylib and Eyedog Security Update This patch fixes some known security issues with Internet Explorer 4 and 5, and will protect Outlook users from the BubbleBoy virus (technically known as a worm). The flaw in Internet Explorer 4 or 5 and Outlook currently allows a 'malicious site' to run certain programs through the ActiveX controls: scriptlet.typelib and Eyedog. Bubbleboy exploits the same security hole and can cause an e-mail virus to be triggered even if the message is only previewed. |
