Open a remote Web page
Tip If you need to retrieve a Web page from a remote Internet site for editing in Word 97, WordPerfect 8, or Word Pro 97, you can do it in a flash. Just click File--Open and type the page's complete URL into the Filename field, then click Open. If you're not currently connected to the Net, the program will start a Web session and retrieve the page. Depending on the program and its default settings, you may have to confirm conversion from HTML and specify whether to import graphics. You must type the URL for an actual Web page, complete with the .htm or .html extension. An address like http://pcworld.idg.com.au won't work since it points to a directory, not to an actual Web page. - George Campbell | Category: Word processing Issue: Apr 1998 |
